Out of interest, I went to Auslogics website, and looked at the version history of Disk Defrag. I liked the program, and all my problems with it began with a version update. You guys were wise not to update your versions of Disk Defrag. It's about time Malwarebytes got more aggressive. What remains a bit of a mystery is why only now does MBAM decide that Auslogic files are potentially unwanted? I'm not surprised that Malwarebytes detected Auslogics files. Folder not deleted: C:\Users\joseph\AppData\Roaming\Auslogics So I downloaded the latest version of AdwCleaner from Malwarebytes, and its scan also flagged some Auslogic folders: I don't know if the scanners at VT scan for PUPs, however. So I uploaded both files to to VirusTotal, where 0/54 scanners detected anything amiss (including MBAM). I just couldn't trust any company that would bundle malware like Conduit. It seems like this service degrades over time and for whatever reason it causes the stutter/lagging issues.
Thanks to this articles author I found out that all I needed to do to fix the issue as it was occurring on my PC was to restart the Windows Audio Service and then it was fixed. Well due to this article I found out that Windows 11 was at fault for this issue and the the Windows Audio Service was the root of my issue. I further found that when I started to use AIMP that I would run into the same issue. When the stuttering/lagging issue would crop up I would always have to restart my PC because I could not find an answer to how to fix the problem without restarting. I had always thought that the audio issue that I was having was due to the inefficient programing of a certain company and their program when it was used in Windows 10/11.
